Mr. Kemplin, Mrs. Watson, Ms. Dana, and Mrs. Powell have some problems for you to solve about their visit to the aquarium. Mr. Kemplin's problem:
One time I took Jackson to the aquarium. He saw 4 red fish and 4 yellow fish. How many fish did he see in all?
Mrs. Watson's problem:
When Laura and Jackson went to the aquarium, they saw 8 jellyfish in one tank and two jellyfish in another tank. How many did they see in all?
Ms. Dana's problem:
Over fall break when Ms. Dana was at the aquarium, she saw 5 hammerhead sharks and 6 white sharks. How many sharks did she see in all?
Mrs. Powell's problem:
Mrs. Powell saw 9 penguins playing in the ice and one penguin swimming in the water. How many penguins did she see in all?
